Delete your account

From inside the app

This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately.

  • Open walkdeeznuts
  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Account
  • Tap Delete account and confirm

If you no longer have the app

Email privacy@walkdeeznuts.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". Include your display name so we can find you. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we proceed — this protects you from someone else deleting your account.

We will complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your request.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and login credentials
  • Your profile and any details you added to it
  • Your location history
  • Your walk history and matches
  • Your support correspondence, unless an issue is still open

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of information may be retained after deletion where the law requires it or where it is needed to keep other people safe:

  • Safety reports made about you — retained for 24 months, so that repeat behaviour can be identified. These are kept separately from your profile.
  • Records we must keep by law — retained for the period the relevant law requires.
  • Aggregated, anonymised statistics — these can no longer identify you and are kept indefinitely.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account or its data once deleted. If you would rather take a break, you can just stop marking yourself as available — no one will be matched with you while you're offline.
